Hello, I'm trying to find information about my uncle who was killed in action on D-Day 1944.His name was Pfc Conrad V. Kufta. He served with with 116th regiment. He was nineteen years old when he was killed. I have tried the National Archives but his military records were lost in the big fire. I'm searching for anyone who may have known him or served with him. He was my mother's older brother. His death has been a source of great sadness in my family.Thank you, Denise McGowan-Guida

Good morning. My father-in-law was 2nd. Lt. Ed Sicnolfi who flew C47A with 82 TCS / 436 TCG carrying 1st. Bn of 502d PIR from Membury Airfield on Mission Albany in serial 9 to drop zone A on the night of June 5 - 6 1944. I'm told that he was one of the firt 18 in that formation and I'm trying to establish which was his plane and any other information that I can find out about that night. Would you have any information to share or suggest where I might find more about this? Thank you.Sincerely, Chris Parkinson, in NJ
