SIMMS JACK R - 116TH INFANTRY REGIMENT
CPL Simms was my great uncle. He was denied enlistment twice before he stuffed himself with bananas in order to gain enough weight to join. He was allowed enlistment on the third try. He didn't want to be left behind. His brother joined the 29th as well and made it home safely.

COOK JOSEPH L - 115TH INFANTRY REGIMENT
Cook was my mother's husband. I am the son of Oleva Copeland. I did not even know of Cook until many years later. I have nothing but respect for the man. I would love to hear from any of Cook's family, or brothers from the war. Jay B. Reese jay@showmesmiles.net
